Zusammenfassung<\/h1>\n

Das Update besteht aus\u00a0zwei Teilen<\/strong>: dem Betriebssystemupdate und dem vR Ops Update. Keine Bange, beides wird \u00fcber das Web-Interface eingespielt.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die Installation wird das Admin-Passwort ben\u00f6tigt, sollte es entfallen sein, gibt es eine M\u00f6glichkeit das Passwort zur\u00fcckzusetzen:\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/kb.vmware.com\/kb\/2078313<\/a><\/p>\n

Das Update wird immer auf dem Master-Node eingespielt, der Prozess k\u00fcmmert sich dann automatisch um die Verteilung und die Installation auf anderen Knoten.<\/p>\n

Es wird dringend empfohlen vor dem Update ein Snapshot von allen Knoten zu erzeugen. Nur f\u00fcr alle F\u00e4lle… Nach dem erfolgreichem Update und Kontrolle sollten die Snapshots gel\u00f6scht werden.<\/p>\n

Vor dem Update sollte man in vR Ops 6.0 einloggen und die Seite\u00a0\u00a0“Environment Overview” -> “vSphere Hosts and Clusters” -> “vSphere World” \u00f6ffnen. Dies f\u00fchrt zum internen update der Projekte (abgelaufene Projekte k\u00f6nnen zur Problemen beim Upgrade f\u00fchren).<\/p>\n

    Diesmal die Datei\u00a0vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-6.1.0.3038037.pak\u00a0<\/strong>w\u00e4hlen.
    \nDie Auswahlbox anklicken -> \u00a0\u00a0“Install the PAK file even if it is already installed
    \nDie Auswahlbox anklicken \u00a0->\u00a0\u00a0“Reset out-of-the-box content, overwriting to a newer version provided by this update. Note, user modifications to out-of-the-box Alerts, Symptoms, Recommendations and Policies will be overwritten.”<\/p>\n

    ACHTUNG<\/strong>: Die zweite Checkbox bewirkt, dass alle Out-of-the-Box-Inhalte \u00fcberschrieben werden. Das ist normalerweise kein Problem, wenn man bei Anpassungen der Dashboards, Views, Alarme und Richtlinien darauf geachtet hat, diese vor dem editieren immer zu klonen. W\u00e4hlt man diese Option nicht aus, werden neue Inhalte eventuell nicht eingespielt. Umbenannte Inhalte werden auch \u00fcberschrieben, deshalb, vor den Anpassungen immer klonen, nicht umbenennen.<\/p>\n

    7. Nach einer guten halben Stunde …<\/h2>\n

    sollte auch diese Update fertig sein. Wieder einloggen und \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen, ob das Update abgeschlossen ist und der Cluster wieder online. Bitte nicht den Cluster manuell starten, dies sollte der Updateprozess \u00fcbernehmen. Sollte etwas schief gehen, Support kontaktieren oder Snapshot zur\u00fcckspielen.<\/p>\n
